Gameplay
Radar Vectors is about turning traffic into a stable arrival stream. You work the picture with headings, speeds, and timing — staying ahead, keeping separation, and keeping the sequence intact.
The core loop
- Build the plan: decide what the final should look like (spacing target, merge points, who needs delaying).
- Vector and sequence: shape downwind/base, control closure, and create gaps where you need them.
- Protect separation: spot conflicts early, don’t let geometry paint you into a corner.
- Finish clean: hand the stream to final in a state that won’t collapse two minutes later.
Controls / tools
- Headings: short vectors for geometry, longer vectors for delay and flow control.
- Speed: do the real work with speed; use it to absorb compression and protect the final.
- Timing: you’re constantly trading track miles for time. If you’re late, you’re behind.
Scenarios
Scenarios are designed to be short and replayable: you’ll see the same setup multiple times, but the quality of your sequencing and the cleanliness of your interventions is what changes the outcome.
Free vs. “full version” (Pro)
During the testing phase you can play for free. There’s also an optional Pro upgrade (full version access) and we’re intentionally keeping the price very low while we iterate.
Feedback (we actually want it)
We’re actively looking for feedback from ATC-savvy users: realism, difficulty tuning, UI friction, phraseology expectations, and edge cases where the safe solution feels unintuitive.
The test build includes a Send feedback button in the top bar on the scenario selection page once you’re logged in. You can also email us at info@radarvectorsgame.com.
